MENS SWIMWEAR – VARIOUS TYPES

Mens swimwear consists of various types and models. We can categorize mens swimwear types and models into 5 categories below:
- Jammer
This type of mens swimwear form tights, long enough even to the bottom of the knee. It is very suitable on the beach, or in the pools. This swimwear is also more suitable in the colder area. - Shorts
Mens swimwear in this type is nearly the same as jammer in length. But not strict, even very loose. It is usually used by the surfer. There is often a pocket in front, side, or in the back to keep valuables and money. - Swim Trunks
This mens swimwear is shorter than the type of jammer. Trunks are also strict, usually up to the top of the thigh. It is suitable for use in pools. Many trunk models thesedays also have pockets to store valuables during activities. - Thongs & Bikini
Both of these mens swimwears are the most widely used by men. Because the small size may be almost like shorts. It is a practical use anywhere. From all types of mens swimwear, bikini & thongs model is the smallest. - Swim Brief
Mens swimwear from this type is almost similar to the bikini & thongs. The only difference is a swim brief covers more male genital area. The materials are also quite strict.
GUIDANCE FOR BUYING
1. Currently, many mens swimwears are available with a variety of materials, such as cotton fiber, silk fiber, synthetic fibers such as nylon, lycra, spandex, and others. Choose swimwear that match your skin. Sometimes a man feel he does not match the materials of nylon, because of the itching, or nuisance in the skin. Therefore he must choose another material.
2. Temperature and climate also have an influence. For a hot area, it is better to use cotton or silk type. While for a cold region, it is better to choose wool, synthetic, or other material which is warming the body.
3. You have to embed a mindset that swimwear is important as your clothes. Therefore, you must choose a particular model or brand that you trust.
4. In recent years, mens swimwear model is increasing diversely in the market, as I described above. If you require swimwear that have a pocket, then choose a model that have a pocket. If you need that is not strict, then choose the loose.
5. Because basically swimwear is worn for exercise, then choose the swimwear model that has additional functionality to protect your vital areas.

Men’s Swimwear – Development View

The development of men’s swimwear is rapid. Unlike the past, when men’s swimwear only consisted of a single colour- that is white. At present, we have a variety of colours and made of various materials, such as cotton, silk fabrics, synthetic fabrics, and other. Moreover, the men’s beach clothes certainly more diverse in patterns and colours. Men’s swimwear is not only used as the only clothing, but also as aesthetic, and self-expression.
There are many factors that change men’s swimwear. The main factor is the increasing acceptance of homosexuality. The gays who were hidden, now they have begun exposed and people accept their existence. In addition, many gays who are successful professionals in urban areas, begin actualizing themselves with fashion style, including swimwear.
The second is the reduction in the dominance of women fashion in style. Currently, men also want to express themselves in the style of clothing. Especially among the young men, of course, aesthetic taste is higher.
The third phenomenon is the metrosexual men. Metrosexual male is described as urban masculine. The metrosexual men are always to maintain the appearance and still enthrall. This is usually triggered by public figures such as celebrities, and sport stars.
